About Us

SammaDitthi is a Grassroots Buddhist 501c3 nonprofit. We practice Ānāpānasati meditation and mindfulness, with mettā at the core of the practice – wishing well for oneself and others, compassion as taught by Gotama Buddha over 2500 years ago. The foundation of the practice is based on the Four Truths and the Eightfold Path.

Our meditation is for all levels, beginners to advanced, we follow a simple practice that reinforces a simple routine. The practice referred to as Ānāpānasati was developed by Gotama Buddha. The Ānāpānasati practice can be found in the Pāli Canon. It was written down by his disciples not long after the Buddha's passing. SammāDiṭṭhi is open to all faiths and belief systems.

The purpose of this group is to share the life-tools to reveal the inner peace and happiness that is within each of us. With commitment and persistence we can all experience peace, happiness and great changes in our lives.

Mitakuye Oyasin!

We return thanks to our mother, the earth,
which sustains us.
We return thanks to the rivers and streams,
which supply us with water.
We return thanks to all herbs,
which furnish medicines for the cure of our diseases.
We return thanks to the moon and stars,
which have given to us their light when the sun was gone.
We return thanks to the sun,
that has looked upon the earth with a beneficent eye.
Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit,
in Whom is embodied all goodness,
and Who directs all things for the good of Her children.
